Extraordinary kindness and international professionalism from all staff at the Sangre Grande General Hospital . As a new mom ,my anxiety for the well being of my baby was reduced by caring and compassionate staff . Special thanks to nurse Lisa D'Abreau , Dr. Dookie .

Its clean here, the service here is fast and if there is any long waiting here there is entertainment. If you get hungry while waiting here there i are shops nearby. The employees are polite here. There is free WiFi here and if you get thirsty there is water.

ALLL of these positive reviews are nothing but lies and were probably written by the uneducated lazy employees of this embarrassment of a hospital. In one week of visiting this hell hole, I was able to make the following observations: 1. They serve one half (yes .5 or 1/2) of a chicken wing to patients with bread. I'm sorry but if someone is dying from heart disease or diabetes, a chicken wing is the last item that should be ingested into their bodies 2. It takes hours to retrieve your medical records. The clerks walk around chatting about everything other than healthcare or their actual job. 3. A 7am appointment most certainly means that you'll been seen around 3 or 4 pm. 4. They don't answer the phone... EVER. If you need to schedule an appointment you have to walk in... and for most elderly Trinidadians this is a 1.5 to 2 hr journey. 5. My mother broke her knee cap and received a FULL LEG CAST FROM THE HIP DOWN. She kept the cast on for 2 weeks and her leg started getting dark because she's also diabetic. I cut off the cast and took her to a hospital in NYC where they were able to put on a knee brace that was made for broken knee caps. Had I NOT removed the cast, she would have needed a NEW LEG - not just a knee. 6. EVERYONE lacks a sense of urgency. 7. Medicine is not administered as prescribed- my cancer ridden father was there for 3 days before he received the antibiotic that I had to make noise to get in the first place. Then you have to wait for the nurses to make rounds. I'm sorry but if someone needs meds more often than your shift, someone needs to do it! WE CAN DO BETTER... If anyone can lead me in the right direction as to who needs to be informed I would appreciate it.
