  Hyatt for dining is great. It is located on the waterfront in Port of Spain. Food is of great standards. Staff may need a little more training. There are outdoor and indoor dining for your preference.

  Nice hotel close to the commercial district; my business associates and i have stayed at this hotel multiple times. The rooms are refurbished and modern and the conference spaces are excellent. There is a nasty woman called Nikeisha at front desk who ruins the check-in / check-out experience and definitely "chooses" which guests she will be polite to: note, she really is as rude and unhelpful as she looks so avoid her if you want to enjoy your time there but other than that, most staff are friendly but they could definitely learn about service from some of the more superior Hyatt franchises around the world. Service in the Caribbean, in general, is poor and requires far more training to catch up with other parts of the world. The hotel have a very good sushi bar, a lively lobby bar and a gorgeous infinity pool with beautiful views and a nice vibe. There is a pool bar where food and drinks are also served. Housekeeping is a mess, they will ring incessantly if you have a Privacy sign on your door, which sort of defeats the purpose of needing privacy! Sort it out Hyatt! Housekeeping service really depends on who does your room, some are shocking and others are very good so training standards must improve and be more consistent. Port of Spain does not have a massive choice of hotels so the hotel is always packed and busy.

  Used to be a great hotel and for the most part, it still is. But their housekeeping is very hit and miss. We have had our room cleaned and towels - with stains on them - were left in the bathroom on several occasions. We travel all over the world and are frequent guests at some of the world's best hotels and i have never, ever experienced fresh towels with stains or brown / yellow marks on them and this happened more than once during our stay at this Hyatt, despite complaints. Also, some days the room would be cleaned properly and other days not. Some days surfaces would be cleaned and other days we would come back to find coffee cup stains still there. There was horrible mould and brown stains on the lamp cushioning next to our settee that was hidden from view. It was all very inconsistent and i always felt nervous as to what we would come back to find. It made an otherwise enjoyable stay, a really unpleasant and disappointing one because if housekeeping are leaving stained towels in rooms and not cleaning properly, imagine the uncleanliness that was not obvious to the naked eye. On the positive side, the fitness center and spa are new, clean, tidy and offer a good array of equipment and services. The hotel's cafe does some wonderful coffees, hot chocolates and pastries. The lobby is also still very beautiful and the lifts and hallways are always well maintained and contemporary. Staff are generally very friendly and service orientated but they do need to address the issues with poor housekeeping standards which is damaging to the hotel's brand.

  Awesome. The absolutely best experience that we had. Excellent customer service. Friendly, kind and helpful. There is absolutely calm and serene atmosphere. I give the staff an A+ and would definitely stay at the Hyatt on my next visit.

  Amazing place. I compare all the hotels I'm staying at with this one. It's clean, cozy, beautiful. I love it. The personnel are nice, it's my home away from home. Absolutely amazing! The pool is fantastic too! Grand hotel, big meeting rooms. For a girl who grew up in the country this felt like being royal. Thumbs up!
